The Art of the Holidays is our first children’s art contest at the Superstition Mountain Museum. It will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on the patio of the Museum and Gift Shop.

Students from the Apache Junction School District’s Cactus Canyon Junior High School (6th – 8th grades) are being invited to participate.

The young artists are being asked to include some part of the Museum in their paintings, along with their concept of a holiday theme.

You be the Judge! The finished paintings will be on display all day. Visitors can view them and then vote for their favorite paintings by purchasing tickets the day of the event and placing them in the container by their favorite artworks. Votes will be tallied and at 3:30 p.m., the first and second place winners in each category will be announced in our amphitheater. There will be ribbons and cash prizes in each category! Thank you for the generous donation of place ribbons.

Come on out and support our budding local DeGrazias and O’Keeffes and enjoy a fun day at the Museum.
